Hyderabad is expected to witness continued rainfall over the next three days, as per the latest forecast issued by the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TGDPS). The GHMC region shows varied rainfall intensities from July 24 to July 27.

As per the 24-hour rainfall forecast valid from 8:30 am on July 24 to 8:30 am on July 25, most areas within Greater Hyderabad are projected to receive moderate rainfall ranging between 15.6 mm and 64.5 mm, with southern and central zones like Rajendranagar, Chandrayangutta, and Serilingampally expected to record higher amounts. Some northern areas such as Quthbullapur and Alwal are forecasted to get light rainfall, under 25.6 mm.

During the 48-hour period from July 25 to July 26, rainfall is expected to reduce slightly in the southern and eastern parts, while moderate showers are likely to persist in the northwest regions including RC Puram, Chintal, and Serilingampally. Most other areas may receive lighter showers during this window.

For the 72-hour period ending at 8:30 am on July 27, rainfall activity will taper off across the city, with light rainfall predicted across nearly all zones in GHMC. Intensity is expected to stay below 25 mm in most areas, including key circles such as Malkajgiri, LB Nagar, and Kukatpally.

The three-day cumulative forecast indicates a weakening monsoon spell across Hyderabad with gradual decline in rainfall intensity after July 25. However, localized showers and thunderstorms remain possible in pockets.
